The Commodity.com Heritage

We didn’t just acquire a premium domain – we inherited a legacy. The Commodity.com domain was owned for decades by George Kleinman and his firm Commodity Resource Corporation (CRC), which operated for over 30 years as a commodity brokerage.

Prior to founding CRC, George Kleinman was one of the top commodity brokers at Merrill Lynch, earning a place in their prestigious “Golden Circle” before leaving to start his own operation. He is also the author of three definitive books on commodity futures trading:

Who Publishes Commodity.com?

Moneda Media LLC has published Commodity.com since 2010. We’re a Delaware-incorporated media company focused on commodity and financial markets education. Our team works remotely across three continents.

We’re a small, independent publisher – not a venture-backed startup or a subsidiary of a financial institution. This independence is deliberate: we answer to our readers, not to investors or broker partners. Our registered agent may be found at 1013 Centre Road, Suite 403S, Wilmington, New Castle, Delaware, 19805.

How We Make Money

Commodity.com earns revenue through affiliate commissions. When you click a broker link on our site and open an account, we may receive a referral fee from that broker. This costs you nothing extra – the broker pays us, not you.

This is how we fund the site, pay our writers, and keep the content free. It does not influence our editorial content. Our writers don’t know which brokers pay us commissions, and broker ratings are determined by our editorial methodology – not by commercial relationships. We regularly recommend brokers we have no affiliate relationship with when they’re the best option for the reader.

You’ll find our privacy policy here and our editorial policy here.

Where Our Data Comes From

Price data on Commodity.com is sourced from professional-grade market data providers. Our primary provider is TwelveData, which delivers delayed price feeds across 149 fiat currencies, 50 cryptocurrencies, and 60+ commodities. Precious metals spot prices (gold, silver, platinum, palladium) are sourced from MetalPriceAPI.

All price data displayed on this site is delayed – not real-time. We state this clearly because accuracy builds trust. For full details on our data sources, update frequency, and methodology, see our Data Sources & Methodology page.

What We Don’t Do

  • We don’t provide personalized financial advice. Our content is educational – not a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any specific asset.
  • We don’t accept payment for favorable reviews. Brokers cannot pay for a better rating or suppress an unfavorable comparison.
  • We don’t manufacture data. Every statistic on this site comes from a named, verifiable source. If we don’t have the data, we say so.
  • We don’t hide how we make money. See above – and our editorial policy explains exactly how editorial independence is enforced.
  • We don’t hide our methodology. See exactly how we source and verify data on our Data Sources & Methodology page.
